How We Got Here
Andrew came to this from the field, not from a boardroom.
The gap he set out to close is the one most people fall into after an injury: the space between care that gets you out of pain and training that keeps you out of it.
Dr. Andrew Longoria pitched at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Then he spent three years coaching high school baseball, coaching football, and running performance training. He knows what it looks like when an athlete is protecting something and pretending they are not.
He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Texas State University in 2017, then went on to certify in Orthopedic Manual Therapy through the Manual Therapy Institute. Two worlds, one skill set. He started The Complete Athlete to put them in the same room.
Most people get handed one or the other. Rehab that stops the day the pain stops. Or training that never asks why the shoulder keeps going. The vision here is to bridge that gap: rehabilitative care after an injury, and preventative care, treated as one continuous job.
The clinic is family owned and operated. Andrew and his wife Lori have three children. When he is not with a patient, he is working out, running, golfing, or cooking, which is to say he is one of the people he treats.
